NURSERY ART : LITTLE MISS WELLER

It was so fun for me to painting something girly. This was a shower gift for a friend who is expecting a little girl. Her nursery is coming together beautifully and I'm hoping this piece will fit right in with the rest of her adorable nursery decor.

PET PORTRAITS : NOW AT SHOP DOG

I'm so thrilled to be working with an inspired local boutique to create pet portraits for it's customers. Shop Dog is a relatively new, awesome little shop for pups of all sorts. You should really stop in and see it. It's adorable. When the owner, Ellyn, asked me to paint custom pet portraits for her store, I was so tickled! Pop in and order one!

SEASON OPENER

These pieces are for a hunter friend of mine. My sister designed his living room and commissioned me to paint these hummers. She asked that I confine my palette to black, white and brown. So, these pieces will pair perfectly with the new chocolate leather couch.

BISON + FEATHERS

This bison + feathers piece was commissioned by a couple I went to college with. Since meeting them, I've always admired their kindness and grace. They asked for a piece with a buffalo, feathers and gold. You can't see it, but there's this to-die-for gold leaf along the edges that cracked and crumbled in the coolest of ways as I added it.

MOOSE SKULL

I spent a couple nights hanging out with my husband and few friends this week. Conversation with this crew is always a little unpredictable to say the least, but I was surprised that talking with them inspired me to paint. The mention of moose paddles got my attention and two days later, this 2' x 4' painting was born. Thanks for the inspiration, friends.

BUFFALO + FLOWERS

It's a fun play on feminine and masculine aesthetics, don't you think? The buffalo was painted with acrylics and the flowers were photo transferred onto 3' x 4' solid aspen.

YES. DEER.

One perk of living in the boonies: we get to catch a glimpse of these beauties every couple days. It's stupid how graceful and lovely they are. I painted this guy on a 2ft x 4ft piece of solid aspen.
